Abstract

With man’s appearance on the earth everything of his existence, functioning and development was provided by a targeted impact on the environment. Expressing this impact the process of setting and achieving goals is now defined as a universal management of the widest range of objects, most notably human society. Naturally, this process became a matter of practical observation, applied research, theory building, causing over time, formation of management science. The initiator, founder and organizer of the first in our country scientific school of management theory and of the Department, got in the beginning, the name “Scientific fundamentals of production management” of the Moscow Engineering Economic Institute, became doctor of economic Sciences, Professor Kozlova Olympiada Vasil’evna. She united and directed the research and teaching activities of scientists and practitioners to the design, development and application of holistic management theory. Today it has become one of the fundamental principles of presentation and development of contemporary management science.

Abstract

The development of science and education is accompanied by the emergence of the need to incorporate the new knowledge that arises naturally in the theory and practice of economics. In higher education this is manifested by the inclusion of new disciplines in the educational program, the creation of new departments, ensuring the teaching of these disciplines. We need a convincing rationale for the selection of a new discipline, development of its content that reflects practical needs for new knowledge and their scientific significance, scientific basis. The chair of scientific basis of production management, which was formed at the initiative of the rector of the Moscow engineering and economic Institute, doctor of economic Sciences, Professor Kozlova Olympiada V., in the sixties, had to solve these problems. This amounted to a great and difficult work of formation of the concept of management as a new scientific direction in the prevailing complex social and economic sciences, reflecting both the needs of production development and trends in the development of scientific thought.

Abstract

Systematizing the basic organizational statements, modern science is the base of structure and interaction in any of the studied area. In turn, submitted by the form, disclosed by the content and classified and determined organization becomes a necessary basis for the construction of any science, and each discipline. General organizational beginning of the formation and development of a system of knowledge, and the action, justify and represent a wide variety of scientific schools, based on mutual understanding of their organization. Formation of the organizational direction of the scientific school of management theory defines the scope of the fundamental notions of order, shape, structure, procedures and methods of construction, design and reflection of all existing and submitted to processes and systems.

Abstract

Investigations carried out at the Department of the theory of management, are the development of theoretical works previously performed by teachers of the Department. The grant received by the Department from the Ministry of education, facilitated the preparation and production of tutorial, workshop and collection of tables and diagrams on the subject “Organizational behavior”. In the development of this area was prepared and released an updated textbook on discipline “The theory of organization and organizational behavior”. All this caused the necessity of modernization of the theoretical-methodological support the development of competences, taught by the Department of educational basis, the contents of which is presented by this article.

Abstract

The self-government today is a qualitatively new phenomenon, which preserved just the old name in the new conditions of privatization of property and privatization of enterprises, the rapid development of its private form, as relevant part of measures for transition to market relations. Self-government as a phenomenon of social life has always been, what stages of development the society was. Externally, self-governing relations were presented in different forms, which suggest that in the differences in the forms it is necessary to see the uniformity of nature. In different nations in different countries, and in the same nation in different historical periods, there were different social roles of subjects and objects of management and government, and their social, ethical and legal status, and, therefore, relations with state authorities and management.

Abstract

One of the key resources of the organization and implementation of professional activity in any field of knowledge and the field of application is the inner motivation of the parties at its constant upgrading and improvement. Development and implementation of a format for life organization and conduct of professional development is fundamentally changing the understanding and attitudes of practicing managers to the place, role, and value of interaction with scientific and educational groups. This is most evident in establishing and maintaining their participation in the joint with the faculty of the University departments of scientific research, conferences and publications on an ongoing basis. First of all, it is typical for graduates of the graduate school, Ph.D. degree and continuing professional self-improvement, as a part of doctoral studies, and through independent programs. This generates obvious advantages of joint development of the sphere of professional management and scientific-educational environment.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the activities of the Laboratory “Workshop stage action in the management” of the Department of control theory on the formation stage methodology in management education. Appeal to this modern practice gives the Manager a chance to be holistic in action and to work effectively in a modern crisis situation. The stage space of the game becomes the site of formation of organizational and managerial positions in a situation of uncertainty and learning resource is an organic action of one’s own physicality (body and voice). Stage methodology opens up a different horizon of management education towards organic management.

Abstract

Being a structural division of the university, the Department of Theory of Management provides educational, methodical, scientific research, training of scientific and pedagogical staff and enhancing their skills. All of these activities are non-repeatable, intellectually filled, require a high creative activity, and therefore are in direct dependence on the human factor. The main activity of the department is the need to generate new ideas and transform them into reality. In the system of organization of this activity includes items such as the identification, attraction, retention and stimulation of creative workers, creation of all conditions for their use. In this regard, of paramount importance is the problem of reproduction of scientific potential of the department. The main source and transmitter of knowledge, new scientific ideas and concepts is creative team. Therefore, the most important aspect is the creation of conditions for attracting young professionals. This concern the activities of the department on preparation of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel.

Abstract

Planning, preparation, defending doctorate thesis, not accidentally for the majority of onlookers seems to be an extremely complex, time-consuming, lengthy task, the formulation and the solution of which is not available for every researcher, the more serious the busy practice manager. The media, including foreign ones, traditionally prevailing public opinion steadily form an idea of what scientific degree of heads of large state or business organizations do not always result from the activities of their authors. A specific story about how, in the framework of the scientific school of management theory at the department of theory of organization and management of the State University of Management was prepared and defended the dissertation of doctor of economic sciences, acting prefect of the southeastern administrative district of Moscow, Zotov Vladimir Borisovich gives an exhaustive answer to this question.

The article presented a brief description of the most salient features of founders, followers, students of the scientific school of the Department of theory of management of the State University of Management, who worked there for fifty years. Today the staff of the department gratefully remembers the contributions of notable scholars and practitioners in the shaping and development of the country’s first scientific school of management theory.
